A visit to Damjl, the historical ‘capital’ of Damanhur, exhibits evocative places: the Open Temple, the Stone Circuits, the Altars to the Elements and the Circle of Rites.
Damjl, inaugurated in 1979 is one of the first conquered territories and the known capital of the Community and Federation of Damanhur. It is the home of the Open Temple, Ritual Circle, Menhirs, walkable Stone Circuits, Elemental Altars, and grand operas born during “The Battle of the Arts.” Damjl beholds a special energy, that brings not only well-being, but a perspective of where we stand in the grand scale of time and space. Discover this historic territory and learn about our community and its evolution.
Following the orientation of Damanhur and its people, journey with us to the Hill of Temples where you will visit the eight halls of the Temples of Humankind dedicated to beauty, respect for every belief, and the awakening of the divine spark contained in every human being.
To reawaken the Divine Spark in each one of us, this is the main purpose of many Temples inside of the much larger vessel we call the “The Temples of Humankind.” Built in secret within the mountain for 16 years, this world wonder, beholds not only the cosmic history of humanity and our ancestors, but where we can go, together. Its eight halls constructed by hand, stratify the many subtle layers of ourselves, the creativity and commitment to our dreams that exist in each one of us. The Temples of Humankind, is the apex of who we are and what we are becoming, when we are aligned to a similar goal and purpose, when we see the importance hidden in every molecule.
At the end of the visit you may stroll the DamanhurCrea, open to the public in order to appreciate the products and services offered by the Damanhurians in the fields of art and crafts, jewelry, health, and organic food. The DamanhurCrea also hosts the research centers on Selfica and Music of Plants.
