Damanhur Federation presents an exciting experience within the Time of Peoples, an hall connected to the Temples of Humankind complex and reserved for special events.

An exciting experience led by Senegal’s griot Mohammed Ba.
The tour , lasting about an hour, takes the visitor on a narrative of rites of passage and their role in the growth and formation of individuals.
Throughout the event dates (18-21 june 2022) there will be other initiatives in the area with music, rhythms, food and dances related to African peoples and culture

The experience will be in italian with these options in English.

    What to Expect

    The experience, lasting about an hour, takes the visitor through a narrative of rites of passage and their role in the growth and formation of individuals.
    The tour brings together and presents some profound aspects of precolonial African culture. Through the Mask, whose strength derives from the emotion it is able to arouse in everyone as an interpreter of the invisible world, we will go on a discovery of that unknown Africa that has not come down to us.
    It will be an opportunity to learn about the founding values of that era, which allowed people to live in symbiosis with Nature, considered a source of nourishment and not a “resource.”

    30 Minutes Prior to VisitMeet at the DamanhurCrea

    We will meet 30 minutes before startign the Experience at our Welcome Center in DamanhurCrea to check-in for the visit.

    10 minTransfer to the entrance of the Temples

    Transfer to the entrance of the exhibition, in the Temples area, is by participants’ own vehicles

    1 hour The Experience

    Audiences will have the valuable opportunity to immerse themselves in a tour led by Mohamed BA, a Senegalese griot who has been living and working in Italy for 20 years now, an intercultural mediator, trainer, educator, actor and theater playwright. He is a researcher and bearer of values, cultures and traditions, which he transforms into experiences that connect his being African first, and “Senegaliano” (Senegalese and Italian) then, with the best of the territory that hosts him. He does this with passion, determination, and professionalism.
